Mackerel escabeche

We offer an appetizer of mackerel fillet escabeche to whet your appetite

Ingredients


mackerel fillet 0.5 kg
onions 150 g
sweet pepper 150 g
celery root 100 g
carrot 100 g
garlic 6 cloves
chili pepper 1 pc
apple cider vinegar 240 ml
sugar 60 g
olive oil 70 ml
allspice 10 peas
bay leaf 5 pcs
sea salt 10 g
black pepper to taste

Instructions


Step 1

Slice the vegetables and fry them in oil.

Step 2

Add salt, sugar and spices and pour in the vinegar. Stir and let simmer for a minute!

Step 3

Make incisions on the mackerel fillet, place it in a mold skin side down, spread the vegetables on top and pour the marinade over it.

Step 4

Allow the dish to cool, cover with foil and put it in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours. Bon appetit!
